RECENT PUBLICATIONS
“What the Kaiju Leaves Behind” short story is in the Raconteur Press anthology CREATURE FEATURE. You’ll never think of Godzilla in the same way again…
“Last Woman” short story published in the fantastic anthology “When Vampires Save the Night”. Expect some Palaeolithic nastiness.
Short story “Blast Off!” published in the totally-serious Raconteur Press anthology “Mad Science“. Expect volcanoes put to unorthodox uses.
Also by Raconteur Press, “Wyrd Warfare: Band of Monsters” contains my story “Blood and Soil”. Expect an anti-Nazi WW2 vampire.
The “Skin and Bones” short story is in the “Gauges and Ghouls” anthology. Expect a most unusual mummy.
Another six short stories have been accepted for various fantasy, horror, sci-fi and mystery anthologies. Details soon.

SCREENWRITING NEWS
Folk-horror feature script VRYKOLAX selected for the European Genre Forum and wins Special Prize at the Tallinn Blacks Nights Film Festival.
I’m hired to write the pitch bible for a six-part psychological thriller series with hints of the supernatural. Another book adaptation. Details under wraps because… TV.
THE BOY WHO BELONGED TO THE SEA (magical realism drama, feature) is in full-on development mode.
A SIX-GUN FOR THE DEVIL (supernatural Western, feature) optioned and doing the rounds in old Hollywood town.

Friday 31st October “SCOTTISH FANTASY AND HORROR,” part of the stonkingly wonderful World Fantasy Convention in Brighton. My fellow panelists are (WOAH!) Maya MacGregor and Nick Binge, and the chair is Shona Kinsella.
Wednesday 19th November “THE GUIDE TO MYSTERIOUS PERTHSHIRE“, part of Folk Horror at the Library Festival, in the AK Bell Library, Perth.

I now have two novels out on submission: FIREBREATH (sci-fi fantasy) and PALEFACES (alternative-history vampires). A historical fantasy is currently being gently nurtured/bloodily birthed into existence.
