Author Geoff Holder catalogues Dundee’s witches, UFO and big cat sightings in his new book Paranormal Dundee.
Among the episodes from the city’s tortured past is the man who claimed to be the infamous Jack the Ripper and the local woman who became queen of a cannibal tribe.
“There are plenty books about the supernatural side of Glasgow and Edinburgh but I think — as a city — Dundee punches above its weight,” said Mr Holder.
